“Why not cut it down?” 🌳
This tree in particular contained a few higher risk features (included unions and cracking). We were able to address these with the installation of two steel cables and targeted end weight reduction pruning.
The objective was to remove the smallest amount of live material (for canopy health), reduce the most amount of leverage (through total weight and windsail), and install mechanical bracing to prevent over extension (large limb failure).
“But why not cut it down?” 🪓
This client already lost one mature tree close to the house in a storm and noticed a large increase in cooling bills. Aside from saving on cooling costs and improved value, we were able to significantly reduce the likelihood of tree failure for a fraction of the cost of removing the tree. Now they can enjoy the largest tree on their property for years to come.
Not every tree is a candidate for this pruning and cabling combination. Call or text to ask us what the best course would be for your tree!
