Buff & Coat vs Full Sand & Finish

A lot of homeowners think their floors need a full sand and refinish—but that’s not always the case.

If your floors have light surface scratches and the finish is just worn down, a buff & coat can bring them back to life. This process lightly abrades the top layer and applies a fresh coat of finish, restoring shine and protection without removing wood.

But if there are deeper scratches, dents, or discoloration that goes below the top coat, a full sand & finish may be necessary to fully restore the floor.
