EcoSolutions

EcoSolutions An engineering design/build firm specializing in the use of ecological design principles for innovative stormwater, wastewater and site planning projects.

CIVIL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING
EcoSolutions provides professional engineering design services. Our focus is on low impact design (LID) and water resources. This includes site planning, stormwater, wastewater and water reuse systems. Our approach is founded in traditional civil engineering principals. Our philosophy is progressive and based on the understanding of natural systems and their uni

que role in the built environment. LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE
EcoSolutions provides professional landscape architecture services. In addition to providing typical LA services such as site planning, planting and irrigation design and material selection, our landscape professionals work closely with our engineers to create functionally aesthetic designs. The result is the seamless integration of site-specific stormwater and wastewater treatment systems that serve as prominent features in the landscape. This approach provides enhanced environmental protection, ecological diversity and economic value to a project’s bottom line. We also provide custom sculpture and landscape ornamental design upon request. ECOLOGICAL PLANNING
Ecological Planning covers a broad base of projects. In general it is associated with watershed planning. These efforts include habitat restoration and improvements that often include riparian restoration, stream bank protection and wetland restoration. EcoSolutions intra-disciplinary approach to these tasks provides a sustainable road map for environmental protection that is unmatched. CONSTRUCTION & BUILD
EcoSolutions is experienced in the installation of LID stormwater and wastewater treatment systems. We can provide any level of installation support required on a project ranging from construction oversight to turnkey installation contracting services. We are committed to the successful implement of our designs, and the protection of the client’s investment. Our construction experience makes our designs better.

Another story in the news about Stormwater! Bioretention is catching on as an effective, affordable, and achievable for low impact design green stormwater infrastructure enhancements. Retrofitting landscaped islands in impervious parking areas can provide extended detention for captured runoff reducing peak flow severity during rain events. These natural systems remove nutrients, sediments, and other pollutants impacting water quality as well.

The state of Vermont is experimenting with different ways to keep water from running off pavement in parking lots. These green stormwater practices will soon become law. Special correspondent Nancy...

Partnering with Roth Ecological Design Int. LLC, we designed three rain gardens to treat stormwater runoff from existing impervious surfaces. We are looking forward to construction, expected to begin early September.

Todd Cullison, executive director of Hui O Koolaupoko, a Kailua-based nonprofit watershed management group aimed at improving water quality, told PBN that the Windward Mall project has a total budget of $225,000.
