❄️ WINTER WEATHER PREPARATION
🏠 Home Exterior
Clear gutters and downspouts to prevent ice dams
Secure or store outdoor furniture, décor, and trash bins
Check siding, roofing, and flashing for loose or damaged areas
Trim tree limbs hanging near the house or power lines
Make sure exterior vents (dryer, bath, furnace) are clear of snow/ice
🚪 Doors, Windows & Insulation
Check weather stripping around doors and windows
Seal drafts with caulk or foam where needed
Close storm windows and lock windows for better insulation
Use draft blockers at exterior doors
🚰 Plumbing & Water Protection
Insulate exposed pipes (garage, crawlspace, exterior walls)
Disconnect garden hoses and shut off exterior spigots
Let faucets drip during extreme cold to prevent frozen pipes
Know where your main water shutoff is located
🔥 Heating & Power
Have your heating system serviced or checked
