Perched on a 45° hillside overlooking Lake Washington, this award-winning custom deck in Kirkland, WA pushed engineering and craftsmanship to the next level.

With no equipment access, every phase of the project was completed by hand — from excavation to hauling materials up the hill. The structure is supported by over 70 pin piles drilled into bedrock, custom steel hardware, reinforced concrete walls, and advanced engineering designed to create a safe, long-lasting outdoor living space.

This one-of-a-kind project earned multiple national awards, including:

🏆 MBAKS Remodeling Excellence Award – First Place

Another incredible outdoor living transformation completed in Parkhurst. This second-level gable patio cover was designed to maximize comfort, natural light, and year-round functionality while creating a clean modern look that fits seamlessly with the home.

The space features TimberTech Legacy Pecan decking, fascia-mounted glass railing with a custom drink rail, decorative Simpson Strong-Tie brackets, and four Velux 2x6 skylights that flood the covered area with natural light. We also installed CertainTeed roofing shingles, Bromic Heating heaters, and a custom 3D printed Hickory undercover ceiling system for a polished finish from every angle.

Finished with cozy blue seating, modern details, and relaxing outdoor touches like the wind chime, this space is ready for everything from quiet mornings to entertaining guests.
