I had a new double spooler built to attach to my tractor for my tile plow. It holds 2 rolls of tile and feeds to to back of the tractor. We use to pull a trailer along side of the plow and feed the tile right off the trailer. The idea was to help free up a man so he could help move the job forward a little faster by digging new sets, fixing tile, and moving equipment. We are very pleased with the new spoolers!!

10 years ago this week, I started my first job as Lyle Earthworks. I was building terraces on a corn field the farmer chopped for silage. The ground was hard as a rock and pushed like powder. I was wondering how in the world are these going to hold but they did.
This dozer was my very first. It came from New York. It was all painted up and ready for work. I remember everything about that day it arrived. I've put in a lot of long nights in this dozer. Lots of headaches and lots of karaoke to get me through. It has over 13,000 hours on it and runs just as good as the day I bought. 10 years down the road, I've come a long way and built up my company reputation and a lot more equipment. I love my job just as much as the day I started. Thank you to all my customers that supported my business throughout the years. I truly appreciate it. -- Aaron Lyle

We got started this spring on a large conservation project. It will be completed this fall. I hired a friend of mine to install 3900'' of 18" dual wall tile and 1500' of 15" dual wall tile. Then I finished the tile installation with 1720' of 12" flex dual wall, 470' of 12" tile, 1048' of 10" tile, 2485' of 8" tile, 3173' of 6" tile, and 22 intakes. There will be 22 farmable terraces and 5500' reshaped waterways. I love making the land better than it was when we found it. I love my job!!

Are you wanting to build a new POND??
The Water Quality Intuitive in Iowa has released $15 million in a pilot program. A test run to see how well money will be spent to build structures to reduce nitrogen and phosphorus run off. They are looking for areas to install bio-reactors, wetlands, saturated buffer strips, and PONDS!
This is a cost sharing program that is targeted for farm fields and tile outlets. The NRCS will cover a large portion of the cost to build it. They will also assist in installing a waterline to feed livestock and a fenceline to keep them out.
If you want more details, contact your local NRCS office. If you need assistance, I would help you get started. My number is 641-660-6886, Aaron Lyle.

The Bron plow I bought in July was finally delivered last week. I can plow 8", 6" and 4". I tried out the v plow. It's only set up for 3" and 4". This particular shank will only go 4' deep. Hopefully next year I'll have a shank that will go 5'. The tractor handled both shanks very well. I love how smooth the gps grading is on a double link plow.

I've been trying to get caught up on billing this weekend. This is a job we did with 30' spacings and it's 2.5-3.5' deep. Trying to keep the water table as high as possible for late season moisture. The field is super flat for any surface drainage. The center of the field is the highest point with about 3' of fall in 1200'. The pink lines are 3" tile. The yellow lines are 4" tile. All lines were installed with the tile plow.

It was a bittersweet day. I sold the tractor I started plowing tile with. It was loaded on the truck headed for Indiana to a new business owner. But on the other hand, my new upgrade Versaille came last Friday! I purchased a Bron plow to mount on it. Productivity will definitely increase. I'm looking forward to this fall's tiling season!!
