Part 2: Back yard phase two
What a fabulous opportunity to make a drainage problem a beautiful part of the landscape.
Walkway, patio, dry creek, natural screen, berm, pollination garden (deer resistant of course) irrigation and lighting.

Part 1: Front Yard
This was a major renovation with a lot of moving parts.
We had a blast creating these beds and giving the clients a beautiful solution to their outdoor issues.
Drainage was the number one concern.
All new down spouts connecting underground with 6 inch pvc, larger catch basins, French drains, berm walls and dry creek beds to name just a few of the changes that took place.
The flags are for daffodil placement.

Choosing the right cultivars for these small spaces is important.
You want a long term healthy landscape that’s also low maintenance.
Always take the time to prep and make good soil. Dig out the clay if necessary and replace with good topsoil.
We spend more time making good dirt than anything else. That’s essential to having a successful perennial garden in just one season.
Knowing what each plant will do in different spaces and micro climates is also key to a good design.
