Hello friends. Well, the day has come. We have officially sold out of all our inventory. This brings to close 20 years of helping you beautify your yards with hostas in every size, texture, and color imaginable.

What will we miss most? You. While we love hostas, we love the lasting friendships we've formed more.

Dennis continues to take the measures necessary to tackle his cancer head on. We continue to ask for your prayers in the weeks and months to come.

This is a bittersweet goodbye for us. We can't thank you enough for everything. 💚

HALF-OFF SALE!
Sorry we haven’t been on much lately. Typically, Labor Day is our last day of the season. However, we still have about 300 great looking hostas left that are looking for a home.

Please call us at 920-894-2905 before coming to make sure we are here.

Every plant is half price, ranging from $5.25-$25, with some larger specimens still available.

We have a large (36”w x 18”h) and heavy cast iron butcher kettle that we used to plant flowers in for sale. If interested, let us know by calling 920-894-2905. We will help you load it into a trailer with our tractor. $200 OBO.

Hello! We have almost all the mature display hostas dug and potted. We have over 500 large plants available. Diane’s sisters should finally get a break after helping all summer. So grateful for their help and support through this difficult season. Couldn’t have done it without them. ❤️ We are still open every day, but may limit hours in the next couple weeks, so please watch this page for updates.

Dennis continues his treatments, which make him tired. We continue to pray for his healing, and ask you to do the same. 🙏

Your support has been overwhelming. Dennis continues his treatments and we are praying for the best outcome. 🙏 His appetite has improved, and he’s keeping a good and hopeful attitude.

We’ve had lots of questions about what’s left. Our small hostas are pretty much gone. We’ve come to the point where we are now digging up and dividing mature specimens that have been in our gardens for years. Those that aren’t spoken for already are being potted up and sold with multiple eyes per pot, ranging between $25-50 each (with a few select special ones going a bit higher than that).

We are unable to respond to messages, so if you have questions, don’t hesitate to give us a call. Our selection is not in the hundreds like before, but the ones we do have are big and beautiful and will provide instant gratification.

We’d still love to see you at our place one last time, whether you need something to place in your garden or not, so stop out.

But keep checking this page for any changes in hours. We will likely limit sales to certain days in the near future, or by appointment, especially as we need to go to Sheboygan for routine treatments and checkups.

This has been bittersweet… bitter because of the reason for all this, but sweet as we’ve loved seeing so many of you, even some blasts from the past who made special trips to see us from far and wide. Thank you all. ❤️

We were touched by this wonderful article sharing about our business. It was fun to reminisce about those early days. We sure will miss seeing everyone and hearing everyone’s stories. ❤️

What started as a post-retirement job turned into a full-fledged business that drew hosta enthusiasts from around the state and beyond.

Hello friends. We have been blessed with your incredible support this year and are thankful for each one of you! With that, we have some difficult news to share…

Dennis has been diagnosed with colon cancer. He feels good now, but we know that will change when he begins chemotherapy and radiation treatments. We are hopeful for a good outcome, yet know it’s in His hands.

Thanks to many wonderful family members, we remain open for the summer. However, we will not be ordering more hostas and plan to sell our remaining inventory. After Labor Day, we will sell our large display plants for $50 each and they will need to be dug by the buyer. Our property will go up for sale in October and we are looking for buyers of the business to take over this labor of love we’ve built through the years.

While this is hard news, we know we've been blessed to have continued this business well into our 80s. Now, we need to focus on Dennis' health.

What you can do…
#1 Pray — this is the most important part!
#2 Visit our gardens and consider taking home a few hostas to enjoy for years to come — we hope you think of us each time you walk by them!
#3 Inform anyone you know who might be interested in purchasing our business or remaining inventory

Many have asked when we'll open for 2025. Technically, we're opening this week. Some hostas are not fully leafed out yet, so please be patient and understanding.

What a season! Thank you so much to all who stopped out and to those who had such kind words to share about the feature on WBAY Small Towns.
