Here are a couple custom-fit doors I cut and hung.
The first one is a crawlspace door. The client had been getting snakes inside, and my guess is critters were getting in first, then the snakes were following them. The insulation was also down in a several spots, so I hung a couple rolls back up while I was there.
The second door is a similar design, but it’s just a temporary one until they’re ready to hang the expensive door.
I haven’t made many doors before, so these were good practice. I definitely have a better understanding now of why doors cost so much. Each one took several hours to frame, measure, cut, and hang.
With that being said, if you need a custom piece of plywood hung to keep the critters out, I think I could shave the time in half on the next one. 😂
