The Garden Club is looking for someone who could help us to touch up a photo. We took a group picture on a windy day and some people’s hair is a bit crazy. Can anyone help us? Thanks.

Wind, drizzle, flowers, friendship, and plenty to celebrate 🌿🌸

On May 13th, Bristol Garden Club members gathered for our annual luncheon at the Beach House. Before heading inside, we braved the weather for a group photo in Mrs. Perry’s beautiful garden — and we certainly made a memorable sight for anyone driving by!

Once inside, we shared a meal while celebrating several exciting accomplishments from this past year, including:
🌱 A $500 grant for town beautification 🏆 State recognition for our president’s newsletter and binder 💻 First place website award for ease of use — for the second year in a row! 🌼 Numerous member awards at recent flower shows, including the Rhode Island Daffodil Society Show at Blithewold Manor

We also enjoyed an inspiring presentation from Jan Archibald on creating pollinator pathways and supporting native pollinators in our community. We’re excited to continue that work this summer with the installation of a demonstration pollinator garden at Thomas Park in partnership with Pollinator Pathways. 🐝🦋

Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a special afternoon!

What plants did you pick up at our May 9th Plant Sale at Mount Hope Farm? 🌱🌸

Events like these only happen because of the incredible dedication of our members and community. For weeks leading up to the sale, club members worked tirelessly caring for plants in the greenhouse — an every day commitment to ensure we had healthy, beautiful plants ready for everyone to take home.

Many members also generously donated divisions and cuttings from their own gardens, while others shared propagated houseplants from their personal collections. Another creative group crafted beautiful handmade items for our gift table, including decoupaged plates, teacups, and thoughtful Mother’s Day gifts.
We were also thrilled to welcome our friends from Pollinator Pathways, who helped educate visitors about native plants and the importance of supporting local pollinators. 🐝🦋

Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, shopped, and stopped by to support us. We love seeing these plants head off to new homes and gardens throughout the community! 🌿

Did you miss National Gardening Day on April 14th? 🌱

Honestly… we almost did too — because we had our hands busy in the dirt! 🌼🪴🌿
Here at the Bristol Garden Club, we celebrate gardening all year round. Whether we’re planting, pruning, designing, weeding, or simply enjoying time together outdoors, there’s always something growing.

We’d love to hear from you — what’s happening in your garden lately? What are you planting, harvesting, or excited to see bloom this season? 🌷🌸🌻

What a proud moment for the Bristol Garden Club this April! Several of our talented members participated in the Rhode Island Federation of Garden Clubs Design Specialty Flower Show in Providence, showcasing beautiful floral artistry, creativity, and design skill.

This year’s RIFGC Design Specialty Flower Show Schedule, titled “Dearly Beloved…”, was inspired by the bridal theme from the Installation of State Officers Ceremony held last spring, making the event especially elegant and memorable.

We loved seeing Bristol represented among so many inspiring arrangements and displays. Congratulations to all who participated and helped make the event such a success!

We are so excited about this year's Plant Sale and the amazing number of very healthy plants we have ready to make your garden beautiful this year and many years to come! The weather doesn't look like it's going to be very cooperative, but we will be at Mount Hope Farm RAIN or SHINE! Please come by to visit and support the BGC.

The Committee has worked tirelessly on the many details that go into making sure the sale is a success. Our members have been busy digging in their own gardens to bring you amazing native and pollinator plants. We also have a large inventory of annuals, herbs, dahlias, and tons more, including
houseplants and cute gifts to go with them -- just in time for Mother's Day!

So put on your boots and raincoats and bring your neighbors and friends down to Mount Hope Farm Farmers Market, 9-12:30 on Saturday! We'd love to see you!
