Here is a larger cedar siding house we finished up last week. We ended up adding some wrought iron furniture to the mix as well as a section of barn roof that had some minor rust. It was challenging because a good amount of old cedar boards needed to be replaced with new cedar so we had to try to blend in the new cedar to match the existing. The customer was highly satisfied with the outcome.

We were privileged to undertake the restoration of the original wrought iron railing and furniture on a house built in 1949. At 77 years old, the railing showed significant signs of aging, so we ground it to bare metal, primed it with red oxide primer, and applied two coats of white industrial enamel.

In most East Tennessee counties, a permit is required if your deck is:

The classic look of these timber frames never gets old. We used Ready Seal Stain and Sealer in dark walnut on these cedar timbers and tongue and groove. We will be prepping and staining the cedar siding next week with more before and after comparisons.
