Ark valley Kitchen of Kindness

Ark valley Kitchen of Kindness Kitchen of Kindness is a coalition of church members and concerned citizens in the La Junta CO area. Our meals will be offered in a safe drug free environment.

We are dedicated to the goal of providing one hot meal a day to those in need. Our mission is to eventually help individuals get back on their feet through improved nutrition and working with them on self advocacy.

To our wonderful community. We are currently low on items and will appreciate any donations. Some of those items include:

Women’s short (all sizes)
Hygiene items for both men and women.
Toothpaste

All these items can be donated at 109 W. 2nd Street from 2-4 pm Monday through Friday. We appreciate your donation.

It is the third week of the month, which means it is Pancakes and Sausage. We are serving this at The River located at 109 W. 5th Street and Santa Fe from 5-7 pm.

We also have clothing there too. If you need clothing before 5 we also have clothing at 109 W. 2nd Street from 2-4 pm. We look forward to seeing you.

We served 124 tonight

Tonight we are serving Creamed Beef on Toast. We are located at 109 W. 5th St and Santa Fe at the River of Life Church. We will be serving from 5-7 pm. Come on out, try something new and most importantly get to know others who are in our community. We also have clothing that are free.

If you need clothing before 5 we are also located at 109 W. 2nd Street from 2-4 pm. So whether we see you from 2-4 or whether we see you from 5-7 we look forward to seeing you.

Good evening
As some of you may know Terry Smalling will be stepping down as President for Ark Valley Kitchen of Kindness starting tomorrow. With that being said we will have a new phone number and a new President.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Kasey Miehlke. I have almost seven years of non-profit experience with both homeless and housing insecurity.

I look forward to getting to know those in the community better and look forward to serving as President for Ark Valley Kitchen of Kindness.

It is Thursday and that means that we are serving a meal at the River of Life 109 W. 5th Street from 5-7 pm. We are serving Fish Nuggets. We also have clothing that you can choose from and if you need clothing before 5 we are also located at 109 W. 2nd Street from 2-4 pm. Whether we see you before 5 or at 5 we look forward to seeing you.

We are always looking for volunteers to help us. If you are someone who likes to be in the kitchen we could always use you in that area. If kitchen is not something you are interested in but love being around clothes we have a place for you too.
