I feel like all my paintings are little postcards of my memories. They hold not only memories of the creation process, but also the moment in time I’m choosing to paint.

This honey bee I photographed while on a walk along the coast. It was a calm sunny morning and I felt the urge to take my camera out and feel the ocean breeze. While everyone else was watching the giant waves on this particular day I couldn’t help but focus on all the blooming flowers. This led me to then admiring all sorts of tiny life forms that existed among the gardens. This bee hung out in the cool shade of this flower petal for quite a while and it was so beautiful to watch. Sometimes the simple things bring the most joy:)

A beautiful morning in my little art space today. I honestly love it SO MUCH. I’m surrounded by plants (many of which came all the way from MN!), big windows (hello sunshine!), all of my colorful paintings that have yet to find new homes, and so many hummingbirds! Living a dream✨
