We have had lots of inquiries about whether we have closed. We are NOT closed, but have moved the operation to our DeMotte location. Our plants are available for retail purchase at the Belstra Farm & Garden/Countryside location. 10641 N State Road 10, DeMotte, IN. This is about 1.5 miles south of DeMotte and 1.5 miles north of Castongia Tractor (John Deere dealership at the corner of 10 & 110).

Pam has outdone herself and we are excited for you to see the newly expanded facility. The plants are available now, we are open M-F 8am - 5 pm and Saturday 8am - 1 pm.

Spring is here again! Opening day is April 17th this year.

We will be open M-F 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Welcome to Spring 2021! A year ago our world's were all rocked by a global pandemic that has caused physical, financial and emotional strain for so many. Even as we are dealing with some lingering effects we want to spread hope and joy. Hope for a better and brighter tomorrow. We believe the best is yet to come as we keep our eyes set on the horizon. Let's make 2021 our best year yet. To spread a little cheer we included our pansies and violas that are just about ready to make the world around us a little more joyous.

Seeking individuals who have a passion for working with plants. Tasks would include planting, watering, loading, stocking, labeling and cleaning. The position is a seasonal 40 hours per week. More restricted hours can be accommodated if that is desired. It is available immediately and lasts until the end of May.

Box truck delivery driver needed from April 10th until the end of May. Will be delivering plant material throughout NW Indiana and Eastern Illinois. Must be able to safely operate a box truck (12ft - 26ft box, 12,000 lb - 26,000 gvwr) and a lift gate for loading and unloading racks of plants and larger containers. Applicants need to be able to lift 40 lbs without putting him/herself at risk of injury. Daily tasks will include loading trucks at the growing facility and delivering to various customers during the day. The applicant will be required to help customers unload their delivery, verify they are receiving the correct order, and acquire approval of shipment upon completion. A For-Hire License endorsement is preferred, but not required for all positions. There are (3) positions available.

From April 10th until the end of May the position will fluctuate from full-time (8+ hours per day) to part-time (< 5 hours per day). The position can be part-time or full-time depending on your preference. That decision will need to be made at the time of hiring. The last week of April through the first two weeks of May will be three weeks of high demand (up to 12 hours per day). Start time during the week is 7:00 am and will end when the route is complete. Most deliveries are fulfilled during the week with an occasional requirement for a Saturday morning route.

The kids are back to school and nights are starting to be cooler... Fall is just around the corner. With that we are opening back up for the fall retail season! We have 1 gal and 12" mums, ornamental cabbage and sunflowers at the greenhouse.

Mother's day is upon us! Take time this weekend to show appreciation to the mothers in your life. They are the beautiful, strong, loving, passionate and determined women in our life. They have given so much to make us who we are. Thank you to all mothers out there.

With mother's day also comes the traditional last risk of frost. Pick something out for your mother or for the house as we move into the beginning of summer. Saturday is shaping up to be a beautiful day, we look forward to seeing you.

Thank you to everyone who made today such a great experience! The turn out has been amazing. We are about halfway through our inventory with Mother's Day coming up next weekend. Please, do not wait until the last minute or you may not get what you want. We expect tomorrow to be a huge day. We are open from 8-4 and welcome everyone out, with that said we need each person to follow our posted guidlines and the CDC's social distancing protocols. We have greenhouses that are one way, greenhouses with one group limits, and we need everyone to keep 8' apart whenever possible. (We like to be overachievers). We look forward to seeing everyone and brightening your weekend.
