Bathroom floor transformation in progress!
I carefully removed the vanity and toilet so the original flooring could be fully removed and the entire floor could be properly prepared.
After demolition, I uncovered a previously patched subfloor and an unsupported seam that needed additional reinforcement. I accessed the crawlspace, installed new blocking and strengthened the area before moving forward with the new flooring.
The cement backer board has now been installed, the porcelain tile is set and the new doorway transition is in place. The remaining work includes finishing the tile around the toilet, grouting and completing the perimeter details.
Quality flooring work starts with what’s underneath—not just what you see when the project is finished.
