I know that we are on here talking about our Eco-logical OMNI split system heat pump water heater all the time. And to be fair, WHO WOULDN’T, it is by far the most energy efficient split system and most innovative and flexible heat pump water heater on the market. We eliminate all the customer complaints of heat pump water heaters.

But let’s not forget Eco-logical has an integrated tower as well. Sure it might be the redheaded stepchild of the family, but we do love it, and we are proud of its performance and its own heritage. And we’re not afraid to tell you that it’s made by Midea.

That’s right, Midea, the world’s largest appliance manufacturer. I bet you didn’t know. We were the very first private label and the very first integrated tower available made by Midea in the US.

Soon after some really big names followed and use the exact same platform with their name on it as well. I can’t say the names but I can tell you this we all have handles. We all have feet on the bottom of the tank.🥴😉.

Out with the old and in with the new. Not only did we replace a terribly inefficient electric water heater on this project we also added a powered anode rod.

This enhancement will extend the tank life to 20 years, significantly reduce scaling, and for people on well water, it will completely eliminate the sulfur smell.

We highly recommend using a powered anode rod for any water heater. But heat pump water heaters cost quite a bit more so this upgrade is well worth the investment.

Stay tuned my friends. We’re going to Ulster County in New York next week. They commissioned a project of 10 mobile homes for complete energy upgrades and retrofits. I mean these guys went all out with underbelly foam sealing all the HVAC ductwork very impressive.

But the chefs kiss will be replacing this water heater in the picture. We’re going to put in an Eco-logical OMNI 50 gallon 240 V. It only uses 769KWH annually compared to that monstrosity pictured.

That’s right 4000 KWH savings just by installing the Eco-logical Omni.

Let’s do a quick little math class. First of all realize the energy guide is the testing standard for all water heaters and are all tested the same standard all using the same assumptions.

But let’s apply New York State rates.

New York State average residential rate: 29.93¢/kWh (May 2026 EIA)

Baseline Standard electric water heater (4773 kWh): 4773 × $0.2993 = $1,428.56 per year. 

Eco-Logical Omni Energy Guide (769 kWh): 769 × $0.2993 = $230.16 per year 

Customer annual dollar savings: (4773 − 769) × $0.2993 = 4004 × $0.2993 = $1,198.40

Now this is how you place an OMNI Heat Pump.

Solid gray composite pad set level inside a framed base, then bedded in clean stone.
