As our world becomes more complicated and the pace of life seems to approach the speed of light, I like to think about my ancestors and how they dealt with the struggles of their day-to-day life. I think there are many things we can learn form them!
The book "The Lost Ways" could save us in our hour of need when we lose power and have to deal with a temporary loss of some of the amenities we've come to depend upon, like heating, cooling, access to food, medication, and refrigeration.
Preparing for natural disasters is not so far fetched as it used to be. Global warming is changing our weather patterns to the point where floods, droughts and wildfires are affecting a lot more of us every year. A little education and time spent preparing for emergencies can make our life more tolerable if we find ourselves in need.
