As we transition from winter to spring, a couple of reminders are in order.
If you are aware of having bulbs or perennials, 1) refrain from applying pre-emergent in your beds, as it may harm the plants before they emerge. 2) it is essential to note that perennials naturally die back in the fall, but rest assured, they will regrow in the spring. We receive numerous calls during the fall season from concerned individuals who believe their perennials have been killed, when in fact, this is a normal part of the plant's life cycle.
