In the past year, we have had to complete work that was either started by someone unable to finish, never started at all or , worse yet , PAID FOR UPFRONT , and never started / finished.
I understand the need to save money and I tell customers to get multiple quotes. Just keep in mind that cheaper doesn’t mean better. The best ways to protect yourself from this are by checking the reputation of the service before you choose one. (Proof of insurance, online reviews, history of working with competent services) etc. And remember that most competent tree services don’t require money until job completion.
DO NOT PAY THEM UPFRONT! Not even a portion.
