Hi Diamond Turf and Scapes Family!

Additionally, we wanted to share this post regarding the drought in our area. We are almost 12” of rainfall behind. Please take note… we cannot stress enough the importance of watering, especially new plantings and newly seeded areas. This also include plants installed last fall!

Happy Sunday to all Diamond Turf and Scapes Family!

We wanted to just make everyone aware that it is very dry outside with the lack of rain and windy days. To add to this, next week will be in the high 80’s for a few days so things will dry out even more.

If you have had any plants that were installed last year, this spring, or any seeding that has taken place, please make sure that you are watering as much as possible. It is extremely important for survival of plants and for seed germination. As you you know without water things will die. We hope that over the next few weeks the weather will be more Spring like with the normal rainfall we should see.

We are working hard to get everyone scheduled for services as soon as possible. As a reminder we are scheduling these services throughout the spring season which will go into June.

We woke up to this beautiful text from one of our new clients! ❤️

THANK YOU, Jill and Vance!!! Our property - front and back yards - and various "gardens" and borders of shrubs and flowers are beautiful- thanks to you - and Bess, Andre and Jose! They were fantastic! Loved them completely! (My husband was thrilled that Andre took care of some dead branches up in a couple of trees that Vance pointed out.) We have never had a crew that worked so efficiently and carefully- not leaving one speck anywhere when they were finished.

We had to leave our house at 11am and when we returned at 4pm, we were overjoyed. All our neighbors told us how great everything looked!Now, to try to figure out how to keep some flowers alive 😂 that I'll go out and buy-again- a yearly "experiment" for me! Haha We keep trying!

Enjoy the beautiful weather - and a million thanks, again, for getting us in as quickly as you did. We are grateful- and now we are your loyal customers!

Diamond Turf and Scapes is currently seeking a Landscape Supervisor and Laborers to add to our mowing and enhancement crews.

Supervisor position requires experience in all areas of landscape maintenance, especially residential homes and clients, a valid drivers license, positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.

Laborer position requires some experience, reliable transportation, positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.

Competitive pay for both positions, full time positions available immediately.

Happy Tuesday!

Today was our first day of mowing for the season! The grass is growing very quickly! Our plan is to have all of our clients mowed by the end of the day Saturday. Please be patient as we are working as quickly as possible to get to everyone.

You may notice some areas look cut “lower”, this is because some of the areas of grass, especially backyards are growing a little faster than other areas. We are mowing between 3.75 and 4” as of right now. This may be adjusted as the grass will start to grow much faster with warmer temperatures.

If you have clean ups and mulch services with us, we are working as fast as we can to get you scheduled. Just as reminder spring services began on March 6th and will continue through the spring which will go into June.

We are currently in the process of hiring a Lawn Care Applicator for our Turf Care
Division.

The Lawn Care Applicator will be responsible for preparing and applying fertilizer applications to our residential and commercial properties to the highest standard. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in residential and commercial properties. Lawn Care Applicator will be responsible for ensuring that all jobs are completed to Diamond Turf and Scapes, LLC high standards.

Responsibilities:

-Operate Permagreen and Stinger Gateway ride-on spreaders. We will provide training on these specific machines.
-Perform applications to our client's properties to include fertilzer, w**d controls, and other produts necessary to maintain turf quality
-Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively
-Maintain a clean and professional appearance
-Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition
-Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with the Owners

Qualifications:

-Experience in residential and or commercial lawn care required
-Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
-Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
-Willingness to learn lawn fertilization and w**d control techniques to uphold the highest standard of quality for our clientele
-Commercial Applicator or Registered Tech License for the state of Virginia is required

Pay:

$27-$29/hr based on experience. Days will consist of a minimum of 7-8hrs.

Happy Thursday Diamond Turf Family!

We just wanted to let everyone know that over the next day or so we will be sending out proposals for Mulch Services and Turf Care. Please keep an eye out for these!

Just as a reminder mulch services are scheduled as they are received. So the sooner we get your approval the quicker you are scheduled. We plan on beginning mulch service March 1st, of course weather permitting.

Turf Care services will begin towards the end of February, again weather permitting.
