SPRING HAS SPRUNG!

Sometimes you are fortunate enough to be commissioned for something you have your whole heart in. I love being an artist, and I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to create this Easter display for the Easter Extravaganza down at University Place Orem over the holiday weekend.

The display was over 16' wide and 8' tall with 15 unique characters and pieces. All hand painted and cut out on 1" foam.

Every now and then, you pitch a crazy idea to a client, and they say, YES! And I am so glad they did! This nearly 8' wide by 8' tall, theater room barn door was a couple years in the making, and what a sight it is. Talk about a signature piece for your game room on one side, theater room on the other.

MAKES ME FEEL LIKE A KID AGAIN.

There are some projects that make me smile the whole way through. I loved every part of this build. From the cedar shingles, to the robin's egg colored Dutch door, to the gooseneck sconce. Some installs are meant for play, and it felt like make-believe the whole time building it!

IF YOU BUILD IT...

I can't help but think of this project as one of my favorite to build. I love transforming an outdoor space, particularly when you create something that can be the means for gathering so many together. From the large footprint roof to shield from the sun and elements, to the custom privacy wall, to the bespoke BBQ deck station, to the built-in bench. It's party time.
