Most customizable and made to order. I love to see the transformation of wood from raw lumber to a final finished bowl, or pen. I’m always impressed to see the way that the grain comes alive and it’s smooth and sanded out, and transformed into something that fits into your home and improves your every day life. I avoid using stains at all costs and prefer to let the wood’s grain speak for itself.

Occasionally I may add hints of dye, to enhance some characteristics of the wood, but I prefer not to hide the natural colors of the entire piece.I specialize in pens, bowls, vases, lidded boxes, and many other items that can be crafted by hand on a lathe. Christmas ornaments, tops, candle holders, tap handles are all within the realm of possibilities and will be made and offered here as well, in the very near future.I’m a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan and am still serving, which means that I’m working in excess of a full time job already. My wood work is all done in the evenings and on weekends, and is still building momentum. Custom orders are a distinct possibility, please contact me if you have ideas for something, or if you like something you see here, like a pen, and would like possibly order it with a different wood. I do make a lot of going away gifts for the people that I work with, from clocks, boxes, custom pen kits, and more. I like to make stuff that has a connection with the recipient, when it’s specific woods or colors that relate to that recipient or certain touches or additions that make a statement. Anyone can go to the store and order a plaque. I want to make something that is specifically made from scratch for you. Much of the time that I spend in my shop is also spent building various furniture items and dabbling in restorations. It may find it’s way here, though I’m not sure how the shipping would work on it.
