2.5" Crushed Blue shale going down. It looks dark when you first put it down (or when its wet) but it turns a pretty blue/black color after it gets a good rain on it.

1/2 Mile long shale driveway. The 2.5" crushed blue shale we deliver makes a great driveway and seems to holds up to the rain better than crusher run.

Some pics of 3.5" Surge Rock down before and after. This is basically clean rock sized from 1.5" up to 3.5" in size with nearly all the fines and small material removed. It is good for drainage projects, road bases, pad bases and other projects where a larger size rock is called for. This is also available in 6" and down size.

Kinda sketchy spread today. Pretty wet & soft but we got 'er done :) I would have probably rescheduled this one but we had already done that 3 times due to weather. Did not do the best looking job of spreading due to tire spin and having to move slower than normal but the customer was happy we got it down. Didnt get stuck and no serious ruts. This was 3.5" Surge Stone, this is basically 3.5 minus crusher with the most of the fines screened out. Makes a good road base. Cover it with a finer material and make a solid road. It is still going to need a little tractor work to smooth it out but he should be able to get the well driller in & out now.

Sometimes the rock looks different from one load to the next. This came out of the same quarry, same day about 3 hours apart. But one load obviously looks whiter and coarser than the other. We have no control over the rock itself just how we spread it or dump it.
