I'm sorry to announce that due to growing pains from moving we have not had the success we had hoped for this year. We will not be accepting orders this year, and sincerely apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. We look forward to the growing season in 2026.

We'll take special orders in February, but I'd love to get seeds right now - some seeds sell out as early as January. Please let me know asap, even if you're not preordering yet.

As many of you know, our nursery got aphids and we found a great non-toxic spray recipe that effectively killed the aphids until the good bugs came and wiped them out from our gardens. In researching various methods to deal with aphids, we learned that simply adding worm castings to your plant helps plants produce a chemical that will kill aphids as well. We did add worm castings to our plants as seedlings, but if we would have known they would kill aphids we would have added them when they were plants as well. We also learned of different flowers that attract aphid predators. If you get aphids in the future, we've got lots of options. We are confident we will have NO aphids on our plants this spring, and have science to back it up! Check out this video:

We will be at Cascade Farms in Provo on Saturday, June 15th, 10 am-4 pm. There will be pony rides, a petting zoo, agriculture booths, and more.

If you would like to be a vendor at the fair, you can request a free spot by contacting Colton at 801.722.4777 or [email protected].

This fair is to bring awareness to the fact that our agricultural farmland in Utah County is disappearing due to new homes and construction. He would like to create an agricultural community center on his land with a you-pick garden, farmer's market, a petting zoo, pony rides, and other things to help Utah County preserve its agricultural heritage.

If you would like to support a Utah County culture where more people are connected to where their food comes from, please share this flyer and consider reserving a booth or attending this FREE event.

There will be a barbeque which will charge $5 per person or $10 per family - all proceeds will go toward putting an easement on his property so that even if he sells it, it can only be used for agricultural. purposes.

Hope to see you there!

In Orem. Our loss is your gain! The bugs (good and bad) have been crazy this year and we are needing to spend more time spraying for aphids. All plants are $3 each this week only! Check our website out to get an idea of what we have: mifamgardens.com
We are using a non-toxic spray recipe that is extremely effective against aphids, spider mites, and powdery mildew, and would love to share the recipe!
I was very conflicted with using it however, because we ended up spraying ladybugs and ladybug eggs. I put some plants with aphids into our garden that had not been sprayed for a couple days to see what nature would do and I don't see any now because the good bugs came to the rescue!
Next year we will have many flowers available to attract the good bugs, which will also help pollinate crops and increase yields.
If you've purchased from us this year we will make up the difference with free plants.
I've got tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, squash, melons, flowers, and some herbs: Tomatoes: Hybrid - Early Girl, Better Boy, Celebrity, Sunsugar cherry, Supersweet 100 cherry. Heirloom - Beefsteak, Pink Brandywine, Chadwick Cherry, Large Red Cherry, Black Cherry, Amish Paste, Roma, San Marzano, Amana Orange, Cherokee Purple, Paul Robeson, and so many more fun and different heirloom, some early ripening, and others dwarf, or interesting colors. Peppers (all heirloom): California Wonder (red/green), Banana, Pepperoncini, Anaheim, Big Jim, Jalepeno, Cayenne, Aurora. Cucumbers: Tendergreen Burpless (great garden cucumber), Muncher (all purpose, including pickles), Spacemaster (great for small spaces), Telegraph Improved (English Cucumber), National Pickling, Hokus Gherkin (for baby pickles), Cucamelon. Squash - Zucchini, Butternut, Acorn, Delecatta, North Georgia Candy Roaster, Blue Hubbard, Banana. Watermelon: Crimson Sweet, Bush Sugar Baby (baby watermelons grow on 3 foot long vines), Moon and Stars, and some others. Other Melons: Hales Best Jumbo Cantaloupe, Minnesota Midget Canteloupe (small and you get 2 harvests), Honeydew, Crenshaw, Canary Melon. Herbs: Basil, Oregano, Thyme, Holy Basil. Flowers: Calendula, Marigold (a few left), Sunflower (edible seeds), Dwarf Sunspot sunflower (3 feet tall, edible seeds), Nasturtium (great to draw squash bugs away, and other garden pests).

Hello!

We are now accepting pre-orders for our garden start plants for the 2024 growing season at mifamgardens.com! For your convenience, you can pay when you place your order online or in person at time of pickup.

What makes our plants different?

All our plants (including non-organic seed) are grown with organic or non-certified for-organic, kid-safe, environmentally friendly soils, inoculants (soil probiotics that promote a balanced soil ecosystem so plants can more easily absorb nutrients and fight disease), and phenomenal fertilizers.

Organic surprisingly does not always equal people-safe or environmentally-friendly - some organic products actually come with a warning that they can contaminate groundwater!!! We refuse to use products that could hurt our families or our environment.

All of our plants (weather-permitting) have been thoroughly hardened-off (acclimated to full-sun, wind, and summer temperatures)

Because we are a backyard nursery, we are available to offer support, suggestions, and solutions. We have a passion for helping all our customers grow a successful garden.
We guarantee our plants will thrive in your garden, or we will happily replace or refund your order!

Order today at mifamgarden.com - you've got nothing to lose!

All plants are $4 each through April 1st. Place your order as soon as possible, as some plants have very limited quantities!
