was established in 1978 by David (Zeke) Wordell. Zeke's reputation for honesty and service is the cornerstone on which Sakonnet Plumbing and Heating Inc. Our Company has kept its small town flavor while providing superior plumbing and heating services, repairs and installations for large residential projects, small businesses, and the individual homeowners in Little Compton and surrounding communi

ties. The business has evolved over the years with Bob Cabral becoming a partner in 1980. The Company incorporated in 1984 and Jim Waite came aboard as a partner in 1995 with Zeke's son Sidney becoming a partner in 2000. Jim since retired and in 2016 Bob Cabral passed the torch to David Wordell (Zeke's Grandson) and Steve Furtado. Both David and Steve have years of dedicated service, experience, and expertise with Sakonnet Plumbing and Heating and fully intend to deliver honest quality work. is active within the community and is a sponsor of many local events. Licensed in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts, a staff of four Master Plumbers and two Apprentice Plumbers, continue to provide a commitment of excellence with continuing education on the latest plumbing and heating techniques. This week, we are featuring Avantay Pereira with Fall River PD in Massachusetts:

Officer Pereira was dispatched to the address of a single mother who needed assistance and had no one else to call. Once he arrived, Officer Pereira noticed that the mother had a seven week old baby and she was running dangerously low on baby formula but had no money to purchase any more. The only food items in the house were a pack of chicken nuggets and a bag of potatoes.

Officer Pereira went to the store and purchased a supply of formula for the child with his own money. He also contacted a local organization to help the single mother and her child with more assistance going forward.

Thank you, Officer Pereira, for your genuine kindness and for going out of your way to help someone in need. What you did is what a true Servant Officer would do. Thank you for your service!
