An older garden favorite that still holds up beautifully. This wisteria vine produced the largest blooms I’ve ever seen, right in my own garden.

It makes a stunning statement, but it does best with room to grow and a seasonal trim to keep it looking intentional, not overgrown.

Pincushion flower (Scabiosa) might be one of my favorites… soft, airy, blooms like crazy, and the way they move in the spring wind brings everything to life. Plus they come back every year!

🌸🐝 Protecting the Helpers While Handling the Pests 🐜🌱

I use diatomaceous earth in my yard (picked up at Lowe’s) to keep the ants under control so I can safely put my hands in the dirt. But here’s the important part: not all insects are bad!

👉 Bees, butterflies, and pollinators are essential for a thriving garden. If you use diatomaceous earth, keep it away from flowers and plants where pollinators gather. That way we protect the good insects while still managing the pests.

💡 A small placement choice makes a big difference for the balance of your yard.
