🐝 It’s a doozy of a weekend… in the best possible way. Spring has Central Arkansas buzzing and we’ve got a little something for everyone! 🌼🍯

📍Friday | 3:30–5:30 PM
Find us at the Children’s Library for From Flower to Food where we’ll explore pollinators and the role they play in creating a delicious snack together. Tiny hands, curious minds, and plenty of sweetness included. 🌸🥕

📍Saturday Morning
Catch us at the West LR Farmer’s Market for fresh spring honey, hive watching, and fantastic small businesses. ☀️🐝

📍Sunday | 2–4 PM
Then head downtown to the Historic Arkansas Museum to get hands-on with honey processing and see what it takes to turn nectar into neighborhood honey. 🍯🏺

At every stop: honey samples, bee chats, and springtime fun for all ages.

Monica’s garden is what happens when a lifetime of care keeps growing 🌿

After years in the classroom, she stepped into retirement and joined our Host-a-Hive program — turning her space into something that feeds both people and pollinators.

Some homes need a second hive… just to keep up 🍯🐝

With 5 kids and a love for all things growing, Katie added another hive to her yard — and now her space hums from front to back.

A pea-covered archway, thriving garden beds, and bees hard at work… and somehow, her bees are just as well-behaved as her kids. A pretty sweet example of what it looks like to keep a hive while tending to family life.

Bees. Beer. Bill Clinton. 🤔❔

What do they have in common?

This hive.

We gave the hive at Ozark Beer Co a "glow-up"—using paint donated from the Clinton Presidential Center… yes, the same paint used on the Oval Office door. 🎨🖌

From pollinating the ingredients behind your favorite brews to carrying a piece of presidential history, this hive reflects what we care about most at C+C—connecting people and places. Just like the bees, we move between neighborhoods, weaving through communities you might never explore.

As we get ready for the Bloom + Hive Hop Garden Tour, hives across the city are getting their spring glow-ups—cleaned, painted, and ready to welcome the community in.

Whether you host a hive with us, tend your own garden, or just love seeing what’s growing around town, we’re inviting you to open your space (or come explore others) for a day of neighborhood inspiration.

Because when we share our spaces, we grow something bigger than honey. 🌼

Scalpel steady. Hands calm. Queens ready. 👑🐝

Future doctors from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences stepped into the hive and practiced a different kind of precision—removing capped queens to be shared with hives across the city.

It’s delicate work. Focused. Intentional.
The same steady hands used in surgery, now learning the rhythm of a hive.

Because beekeeping doesn’t just teach you about bees…
It teaches calm under pressure. Confidence in your movements. Awareness of the system around you.

And those queens? They’ll go on to strengthen hives in neighborhoods all over town—another thread in the web that connects us.

These are the kinds of real-world skills and community-rooted programs we’re able to host because people show up, support, and believe in this work.
