Waylon stepped onto the mat at the 2026 Washington State Folkstyle Wrestling Championship in the 14U 155 lb bracket knowing he was up against a 20-man field stacked with multiple state champions. Seeded statistically for 6th place, he refused to let numbers define him. With heart, grit, and relentless determination, he battled past expectations and earned an incredible 4th-place finish. He didn’t just wrestle—he proved that rankings don’t measure courage, and true champions are revealed in the moments they choose to rise above the odds. We couldn't be more proud of you kid-way to work! 💪🫶🖤👊
