This week is scheduling tips for sawcutting patterns...
โโโโโโโโโโโโโ
Sawcutting that is done in a consistent pattern over an entire slab is best done within a few days of the slab being poured. This makes pattern layout more consistent than trying to draw out lines from room to room once walls are erected. Tiles are a great example of a pattern that would fit into this schedule. However, smaller more detailed and location specific patterns such as an entry medallion or Texas star in a specific area of a room (such as centered in front of a fireplace) may be best done after walls are up, โjust in caseโ wall placement needs to be tweaked by framers rendering a sawcut pattern off center. If the desired patterns vary from room to room itโs kind of a toss up. If an accurate set of plans are provided we can cut various patterns such as wood or tile in some rooms, it simply has to be accurate drawings for us to line up properly. Once walls are actually erected we would have to cut a border around the perimeter of the room with the desired pattern on the inside of it. Some people like the look of a contrasting border, while others opt to sawcut the open fresh slab before walls.
