As a husband-and-wife design-build team specializing in high-end remodels, historic homes, and custom finish carpentry, our work is rooted in quality, experience, and doing things the right way. A small detail behind the wall can make a big difference in long-term bathroom durability.

This cutaway shows how a bathtub edge is secured and sealed where it meets the wall structure.

• The wall framing provides the main support behind the installation.
• A spacer helps keep the wall surface aligned and reduces uneven pressure around the tub edge.
• The wall board overlaps the tub fl**ge to guide moisture away from the framing.
• Fasteners hold the assembly firmly in place without stressing the tub itself.
• A continuous bead of sealant closes the transition point and helps prevent water intrusion over time.

Operating in the Chattanooga Area, Blackwell Innovations is a high-quality residential remodeling company working on kitchens, baths, and custom remodels, some of which are in historic homes.

We are looking for a motivated laborer who wants to learn the carpentry trade and grow with our team. The right candidate is dependable, cares about quality, and maintains a high level of professionalism when interacting with Homeowners and other Tradesmen.

He or She must take pride in doing things the right way the first time, and always willing to correct mistakes if necessary.

This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in residential construction while learning real skills that lead to long-term career growth.

First things first - Flooring, cabinets, and trim choices throughout the home. Keeping it cohesive is the cornerstone for a luxury design. When things match too closely, nothing has the opportunity to stand out. The room is missing a focal point, and the eye has nowhere to rest.
