From March 17-19, 2003, the Denver area was hit with a blizzard resulting in its second largest snowfall on record (the highest record was set in 1913). Totals ranged from an official 31.8” in Denver to 87.5” in Rollinsville, a tiny town in the foothills west of Denver. Jen was living in Lakewood, a western suburb of Denver, at the time where 3-4 feet of snow fell. Every year when the “Remember the 2003 Blizzard” stories start appearing, we feel compelled to share this photo of Jen and the original lab, Mick.
