We are Planet Desert, a family-owned nursery that offers beautiful and unique cactus and succulent plants online. We work hard to provide you with the best plants possible! We are always adding new plants to our collections, allowing you to find new ones to add to your collection. Below are some of our most frequently asked questions. Be sure to read through them to get your questions answered. If you still have additional questions, contact us! We will be more than happy to answer any additional questions you may have.



Once I place my order, how long does it take to be shipped?
We try our best to ship the day after the order was placed, but please allow 72 hours for us to process your order. If you placed your order on a Friday, it will be shipped on Monday or Tuesday at the latest as we are closed on weekends.
Do you ship on specific days of the week?
We ship 5 days a week! We want to make sure you receive your plants as soon as possible.
*Monday-Friday with the exception of USPS non-operational days (such as government holidays)


Can I place an order and have it shipped on a different date?
Of course! Just add a note to your order letting us know the specific date you want them shipped.



Do you ship internationally?
We are sorry but we do not currently ship internationally. Sorry, maybe sometime in the future.



When will my plants arrive?
We ship our plants via USPS Priority Mail. They will take between 2 to 5 days to arrive, depending on your Zip Code. In some rare instances, it might take a little longer due to reasons that are out of our control.



Where is my order?
Once you pay for your order, you will be sent a tracking number. This will let you monitor where your plants are.



How do you package the plants to make sure they arrive in good condition?

LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE

Every shipment we send comes with our 100% Live Arrival Guarantee(subject to certain conditions as listed), free of any extra charge (save and except shipping fees). This means that if your order arrives with any issues that are out of your control, we will offer store credit in the amount of the loss up to the price you paid for the product in issue.

1. Conditions to be met to apply our Live Arrival Guarantee:
1. Import requests fulfilled - You’ve fulfilled all requests that may be imposed by your local import authority or the courier in no delay, including provision of all infomration required and payment of any duty, fee or surcharge.

2. Correct Address and Contact Details of Recepient -We should have been provided with correct address and contact details including cell number and email. The shipment must be sent to the correct delivery address, and not forwarded to another address. P.O.Box is not acceptable as the shipping address.

3. First Delivery Attempt - The shipment must be received on the first delivery attempt, or be picked up the day of the first delivery attempt. If you miss the delivery and the package is delayed a day or more because of it, we will not accept responsibility for any losses. It is your responsibility to check the tracking number for delivery, even if courier does not leave a "pink slip" notifying you they tried to deliver the package.

4. Clear Photo and Unboxing Video Provided within 24 hours – If the product in issue is a plant or an animal, you need to send us a clear digital picture of the full plant or animal in issue with its name and a video explaining what’s going on within 24 hours upon receipt.

5. You care for the plant in the right way – we may ask you questions to make sure that you have followed our guide on how to take care of the creature upon transit.

2. Refund of Shipping Fee
Plant order - Any paid shipping costs or costs for phytosanitary certificates are NOT refundable.
Animal order - Shipping costs is NON-REFUNDABLE. Yet, online shopping exotic pets is not easy, as uncertainties may happen during transit. We understand your concern as customer and appreciate your trust over us. Therefore, in case in your order ALL creatures do not arrive alive, we will offer 50% refund of the delivery fee.

3. Can I cancel my order?
Generally speaking, we do not accept any cancellation once the order is made.

In extraordinary circumstances that we agree to cancel such order, the phytosanitary certificate is non-refundable once it is obtained or arranged. Also, we will charge a 7.5% administrative fee for hand

Plant Care after transit
Plants are no different from human – we suffer from jetlag after long transit. Yet, some plants are more adapting while some are not. Here are the tips to rescue your jetlag green baby.

Alocasia / Aroids / Bonsai (Woody Plant) / Hoya / Ivy / Ferns / Peperomia / Philodendrom
Conditions after transit: yellowish leaves; dehydrated; loss of leaves
Cure: Trim the yellowish / rotten leaves; then soak the whole plant in water for 12 hours (6 hours for Perperomia) then put it in a pot filled with the well drained substrates (for Fern, PH value shall be in the range of 5.5 -6.0). In 2 weeks' to 6 weeks' time, your plant will revive!

Special notes about Hoya - As an epiphytes, hoya does not have a strong root system; it will be easily damaged under scorching sun and cold weather.

Pe**te is a controlled substance in many countries and is considered sacred to certain Indigenous cultures. Ensure you are familiar with the laws and regulations in your jurisdiction and respect the cultural significance of pe**te.
Obtain Seeds or Seedlings: Pe**te cactus is typically grown from seeds or propagated from seedlings. Seeds can be purchased from specialized nurseries or obtained through legal channels. If you plan to grow from seedlings, ensure they are obtained from reputable sources.
Suitable Growing Conditions:
Climate: Pe**te cactus is native to arid regions of North America. It thrives in hot and dry environments. Mimicking these conditions is essential for successful growth.
