This honey matcha latte is a little ritual that starts with a golden honey syrup melt—equal parts honey and warm water kissed with vanilla and sea salt. Layered with matcha and topped with a dreamy cold foam swirl, this cup is pure bliss in every sip.

For my tortilla chicken twist, I mixed 1 teaspoon each of salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, plus a teaspoon of Better Than Bouillon Vegetable, and a splash of lemon juice into ground chicken. Pressed that onto tortillas and cooked them on a hot skillet. Topped it off with fresh avocado salsa and cilantro sauce. Simple, flavorful, and a must-try!

Some recipes just feel like home 🤍
Dominican fried chicken is one of those meals for me. Crispy, flavorful, and finished with fresh lime… there’s honestly nothing like it.
Seasonings:
* 1/2 tsp salt
* 1/2 tsp black pepper
* 1 tsp garlic powder
* 1 tsp onion powder
* 1 tsp paprika
* 1/2 tsp oregano
* 1 tsp Better Than Bouillon vegetable base
* Juice of 1 lime
Then marinated in buttermilk, coated in seasoned flour, and fried until golden brown and extra crispy.
The crunch on this was everything.

These are the kind of meals that remind me why I love cooking 🤍 Sweet roasted plantains stuffed with savory ground beef, melty cheese, black beans, peppers, onions, and topped with my creamy cilantro garlic sauce… every bite was SO good.

Not fully traditional, just my version of canoas — and I’ll definitely be making them again.

I used yellow plantains (fully yellow works best), coated them in olive oil, and baked them at 400° for 20 minutes on one side, then flipped and baked another 15–20 minutes until soft and caramelized.

For the beef:
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp black pepper
• 1 tbsp garlic powder
• 1 tbsp onion powder
• 1/2 tbsp paprika
• 1 tbsp mustard
• 1/2 tbsp ketchup or tomato paste

Once the beef was halfway cooked, I added chopped peppers, onions, minced garlic, and black beans for extra protein and fiber.

Then I split open the roasted plantains, filled them with the beef mixture, topped them with cheese, and baked again until perfectly melted. Finished everything off with the cilantro garlic sauce from my tostones cups recipe 🤍

Life’s been feeling a little sweeter lately… maybe because I started making things from scratch more often.

Homemade strawberry jam with warm biscuits just feels like slowing down in the best way.

Jam recipe:

* 2 lbs strawberries
* 1/4 cup sugar
* Juice of 1 lemon

Add everything to a pot over medium heat and let it simmer, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries break down and the jam thickens to your liking. Let it cool slightly and enjoy with warm biscuits, toast, yogurt, or honestly straight from the spoon.

Not every bake is going to come out picture perfect… and that’s okay 🤍
Tried a new Sock It To Me Cake recipe and let’s just say… the pan had other plans 😅 part of it stuck, but honestly? still SO good. Soft, buttery, cinnamon pecan center… worth it.
If anything, this is your reminder that things happen in the kitchen and it doesn’t take away from how good the final result can be.

One Pot Caramelized Onion Rice + Chicken 🤍✨
Simple, cozy, and full of flavor—this is one of those “everything in one pot and let it do its thing” meals.
Chicken seasoning:
* 1/2 tsp salt + pepper
* 1 tsp garlic powder
* 1 tsp onion powder
* 1 tsp oregano
* 1 tsp paprika
* 1 tsp Better Than Bouillon (chicken)
* 1 tbsp minced garlic
Coat chicken well with all seasonings.
How to make it:
In a well-oiled oven-safe pot, add sliced onions and cook low + slow until caramelized (don’t rush this part, it’s where the flavor comes from).
Once golden and jammy, add chicken and cook until browned.
Add veggies of choice (I used peas + peppers), plus a little more minced garlic.
Stir in 2 cups rice, mix everything together, then add 2 cups water.
Cover and bake at 400°F for 40 minutes.
Fluff, serve, and enjoy that sweet onion + savory chicken combo all in one bite 🤍✨

Life is way too short to skip dessert 🤍
So I made homemade madeleines and now I understand the obsession.
Soft, buttery little French cakes with lightly crisp edges… perfect with coffee or matcha ✨
Ingredients:
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 cup flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• pinch of salt
• 10 tbsp melted butter
Quick recipe:
Whisk eggs + sugar until light and fluffy, then mix in vanilla, flour, baking powder, salt, and melted butter. Chill the batter, spoon into a buttered madeleine pan, and bake until golden with their signature little hump 🤎
Simple, cozy, and so worth making at home.
