If you’re not regularly eating mangos, there’s a good chance you just don’t know which mango varieties to buy. 🥸🥭 Let me help!

Not all mangos are the same. Different types of mangos have different flavors, textures, sweetness levels, and uses—and knowing what to look for can make a huge difference.

Mangos 🥭 are also packed with nutrients, including vitamins A and C, plus potassium and magnesium. So if you’ve been wondering how to choose a mango at the grocery store, start by knowing the variety.

Here are 6 common mango varieties you may find at your supermarket:

💛 Haden Mango: Originally from Peru, Ecuador, and México. Haden mangos have a peachy, tropical aroma with firm flesh and a sweet-tart flavor.

💛 Francis Mango: Grown on small farms in Haiti and Ecuador. Francis mangos have a tropical, peachy aroma with soft, sweet flesh.

💛 Honey Mango: Also known as Ataulfo mango, these come from México, Peru, Ecuador, and Brazil. They have smooth flesh with a sweet, slightly tart tropical flavor. The small seed means you get a lot more mango to eat, which makes these one of my favorites for breakfast, salads, and snacking. 🥭

💛 Keitt Mango: Grown in México, Ecuador, the U.S., and Brazil. Keitt mangos have firm flesh, a citrusy aroma, and a sweet, fruity flavor. They’re also commonly enjoyed while still mature-green in many Asian cuisines.

❌ Tommy Atkins Mango: I never buy these! They’re one of the most common mango varieties in the U.S., but if you’ve ever bought a firm mango that left a bunch of fibers stuck between your teeth… there’s a good chance it was a Tommy Atkins. 😆

💛 Kent Mango: Grown in México, Peru, and Ecuador. Kent mangos are juicy with a sweet, slightly tart flavor and tropical aroma. They’re great for eating fresh, juicing, or drying.

🥭 My advice: Don’t just grab whatever mango is sitting in the produce department. Check the variety first and choose based on how you plan to use it.

Save this mango guide for your next grocery trip—and send it to someone who needs to stop buying the wrong mangos. 😂

You don't need 100 high-protein recipes. You need 5 really good ones you can keep on repeat. 💪🏽

If you're trying to eat more protein but keep making the same chicken and rice every week, here are 5 high-protein meal prep ideas I'd actually put into rotation:

🥩 Beef Fried Rice — a meal prep classic that's easy to customize with whatever vegetables you have.

🍝 Beef Ragu — comfort food that also makes a great high-protein lunch or dinner for the week.

🥣 Bison Bowl — lean protein, simple ingredients, and an easy way to switch things up from chicken and beef.

🔥 Hot Honey Bowl — sweet, spicy, high-protein, and definitely not boring meal prep.

🍗 Rotisserie Chicken — because sometimes the smartest meal prep move is letting the grocery store cook the chicken for you.

After years of meal prepping, I've learned that consistency doesn't come from constantly finding new recipes. It comes from finding a handful of meals you actually enjoy and making them again.

Save these high-protein meal prep ideas for the next time you don't know what to make. I'll even send you the recipes... just let me know which one you'd want to make first.

👉 And if the recipes aren't the problem and you need help actually planning your meals each week, comment “MEAL PLAN” and I'll send you the meal planning program.

Philly might not approve of this one… Hatch Chile fans will love it. 🌶️🔥

I’m making a Hatch Chile Philly Cheesesteak, and we’re doing the whole thing on the Charbroil 3-in-1 grill / griddle combo.

Start with the Hatch Chiles, onions, and mushrooms, and let everything cook down with a little Dale’s Sauce.

Next, I’m throwing down two pounds of thinly sliced ribeye, and seasoning it with a little Dale’s Seasonings Signature seasoning.

Once that beef gets those crispy edges, cover it with cheese, and let it melt on top.

Load everything into a toasted hoagie roll, and you’re done.

The Hatch Chile adds just enough smoky heat to completely change the cheesesteak.

Save this one while Hatch Chiles are still in season.

If you’re only using eggs for breakfast... you’re missing out. 🥚🔥

One of the best meal prep habits I’ve built is keeping a batch of hard-boiled eggs ready to go every week.

They end up in breakfast bowls, snack boxes, and lunches like this easy Salmon Cobb Salad Meal Prep.

I always choose Eggland's Best® because they taste great, and they have 6x more Vitamin D compared to ordinary eggs and more than double the Omega-3 compared to ordinary eggs.

Pair them with salmon, fresh veggies, and a simple homemade vinaigrette, and you’ve got a high-protein lunch that’s satisfying, delicious, and easy to grab all week long.

💡 Meal Prep Tip: Keep the dressing on the side so your salad stays crisp for days.

People always ask me what one of my favorite meal prep lunches is…

And honestly, in summer, it’s chicken salad. 🤤

It’s quick to make, easy to customize, packed with protein, and gets even better after it sits in the fridge for a few hours.

I love this version because the apples add sweetness, the toasted almonds add crunch, and the creamy Dijon dressing brings everything together.

Ingredients

* 1 whole rotisserie chicken, shredded
* ½ red onion, diced
* 2–3 celery stalks, diced
* 2 apples, chopped
* ½ cup dried cranberries
* ½ cup toasted almonds

Dressing

* ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
* ½ cup mayonnaise
* 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
* 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
* 1 tsp salt
* Black pepper, to taste

Directions
1. Remove the meat from the rotisserie chicken and shred or chop it into bite-sized pieces.
2. Add the chicken, red onion, celery, apples, dried cranberries, and toasted almonds to a large mixing bowl.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and black pepper.
4. Pour the dressing over the chicken mixture and stir until everything is evenly coated.
5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors come together.

Serve it on toasted sourdough, in a wrap, over a bed of greens, or scoop it up with crackers for an easy high-protein lunch.

Simple meals like this are the ones that keep me consistent. 💪🏽
