LAHAR COLLECTION So excited to share my collaboration with and to be on the cover of ’s January–February issue telling this story. This partnership bridges Los Angeles and Mumbai, fusing traditional Indian craftsmanship with modern design. Æquō, founded by Tarini Jindal Handa and Florence Louisy, connects global creatives with India’s craft heritage, aligning perfectly with my design philosophy. For this collection, we’ve reimagined bronze casting and glass enameling techniques, breathing new life into ancient methods. Our reinterpretation of a 3D vector motif, cast in solid bronze, nods to the rich history of Indian decorative arts, embracing the essence that captivated international architects in the 1920s and 30s. This is truly a three-way collaboration between the gallery, the artisans, and my studio. Spending time in the workshops in Mumbai with the artisans who handcrafted each piece was an incredible journey—I learned so much from the process and from witnessing their mastery firsthand. Working with Æquō’s network of skilled craftspeople has deepened my understanding of how heritage techniques can shape contemporary design. This collection embodies the spirit of cultural exchange and creative exploration, creating what Æquō calls “the antiques of the future.” Grateful to Komal Sharma, Nuriyah Johar, Harsh*ta Nayyar, Amy Astley for the incredible support and love, and the entire AD India team for sharing this story so beautifully. The exhibition “By Fire” showcasing pieces from this collection is now open at Æquō Gallery in Mumbai—if you’re in the city, I’d love for you to experience the work in person. All 12 pieces from the Lahar collection will be available on kellywearstler.com starting January 19. XK

LAYERED LOGIC The living room of this private residence brings together pieces across eras and disciplines. The Rift sofa from my collection is paired with a custom tile coffee table by Morgan Peck, Dan John Anderson’s hand-carved tables, vintage Romeo Rega stools, and a 1970s Masatoyo Kishi cast stone table. Other pieces in the space include a Solstice lamp by Hector Esrawe, Ian Felton’s custom Sacha side table, a rare Hans-Agne Jakobsson lamp, Memphis Milano’s Otello chair by Massimo Iosa Ghini, and Christopher Stuart’s Brazilian granite Ziggurat side table. Each element in conversation with the next. XK

THE WAY FORWARD This week on my Substack newsletter, WEARSTLERWORLD: I’m reflecting on the year behind us and the one ahead — what it means to move forward with intention, curiosity, and presence. This post is about leadership, risk, family, creativity, and staying open to change, both in work and in life. Less about resolutions, more about principles I return to again and again. OBJECTS OF AFFECTION This week on my Substack, WEARSTLERWORLD: On a day like today, I tend to slow down and look back. This post is about the things I hold onto—images, objects, notes, moments from travel, work, family, love—and how they keep shaping my thinking about family, work, and me personally. It’s less about acquiring, more about remembering, editing, and letting ideas evolve over time. If you’re in a reflective mood today, this one’s for you. Wishing you and your family a beautiful holiday and holding on tight to all the memories from this year—wherever you are, I hope you’re surrounded by the people (and things) you love. PETAL PUSHER I love entertaining with vessels that feel sculptural, that make you pause and appreciate the space itself. The Pacific Dining Table from my collection meets Morgan Peck’s Contour Large Vessel, the Piel Small Wrapped Pendant, and Alchemy artwork—each contributing to an atmosphere where design and life intersect.
