To Live A Colorful Life

To Live A Colorful Life “Sometimes all you need is a little splash of color in your life.”

09/04/2026

Mother Nature gon’ Mother Nature. 🌧️😂

Despite every challenge that presented itself, WE MADE IT. ✨

Afro Plus Fest got a later start today, officially opening at 4 PM because Mother Nature had other plans — but the booth is UP, the jewelry is OUT, and we are here. 🙌🏾

Sometimes the plan shifts. Sometimes you have to pivot. And sometimes you just have to trust that you’ll get where you’re supposed to be.

After everything it took to get here, seeing this booth finally come together feels GOOD. 🥹✨

To Live A Colorful Life is officially outside at Afro Plus Fest. Come find us, come adorn yourself, and come see what we brought to the DMV. 🤎

Dropped some new goodies… because adornment has always been more than decoration. ✨

Before we ever called it fashion, we adorned ourselves.

We wrapped meaning around our wrists.
Carried stories from our ears.
Placed symbols of protection, beauty, spirit, lineage and memory against our skin.

Because sometimes the body wants to speak before the mouth ever opens.

A little brass.
A little cowrie.
A little something shaped by hands that still remember.
Something that feels found, familiar, ancestral… even when you can’t quite explain why.

That’s the kind of adornment I love.

Pieces that don’t simply complete an outfit — they carry something.
Pieces that make you stand a little taller.
Pieces that feel like they were waiting for you to find them.

✨ All of the new pieces are available online now. Shop from wherever you are, or come see them in person tomorrow.

And you know I had to bring some new energy with me to D.C. 🌿✨

See you tomorrow at Black Girl Art Show D.C.
📍 Ga***rd National Resort & Convention Center
🗓️ Saturday, August 29
⏰ 3–9 PM

Come find the piece that speaks your name before you even put it on.

There are some things we wear simply because they’re beautiful… and then there are things that carry a story. 🐚

For generations, cowrie shells have traveled through African cultures as symbols of wealth, prosperity, protection, femininity, and connection to the water. Once used as currency across parts of Africa, these tiny shells have adorned crowns, clothing, jewelry, and hair—carrying meaning long before they ever became a trend.

Maybe that’s why they feel so familiar.

Like something pulled from the ocean and passed through generations. 🌊

We introduced our handcrafted cowrie shell headpieces thinking they would simply be another beautiful addition to our collection.

Y’all had other plans. 😂

Every single one was gone in ONE weekend.

So yes… the ocean is calling again. 🐚

RESTOCK COMING SOON.

Adornment has always been more than decoration.

Long before trends came and went, women adorned themselves with pieces that reflected who they were, where they came from, what they carried, and what they dreamed of becoming. Jewelry wasn’t meant to disappear into an outfit—it was meant to become part of the story.

To adorn yourself is to be intentional. To choose beauty without asking for permission. To embrace color, texture, and craftsmanship in a way that feels undeniably you.

These are the pieces you remember. The ones strangers stop to ask about. The ones that become part of your signature.

Because some things aren’t made to blend in.

They’re Made to Be Worn. Made to Be Seen.

Maybe we aren’t meant to blend in.

Maybe we’re meant to wear the stories our ancestors whispered to the wind. To adorn ourselves with symbols of abundance, protection, beauty, and becoming. To remember that before trends, there was tradition. Before fashion, there was intention.

I believe every piece finds its person when the time is right. You don’t choose it—it recognizes something in you first.

Wear what makes you feel rooted. Wear what reminds you who you are. Wear what feels like home, even when you’re miles away from it.

Cowrie shells have long been treasured throughout many African cultures as symbols of abundance, femininity, prosperity, and spiritual connection. They carry a history that stretches far beyond adornment, making every piece a quiet reminder that what we wear can also carry meaning.

The rest will speak for itself. 🤍

These handcrafted statement rings are inspired by two men whose voices, vision, and impact continue to influence generations. Whether you’re drawn to the fearless spirit of Tupac or the marathon mindset of Nipsey Hussle, these pieces are a reminder to carry purpose, resilience, and culture with you every day.

The “I’m just looking” crowd never stood a chance. 😂✨

One ring turns into three… then an ear cuff somehow ends up in the bag too. 🤭

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and showed love this weekend. Every conversation, every smile, and every purchase means the world to my small business. ❤️

Sometimes all you need is a little splash of color in your life.

Tell me… which piece is calling your name? 👀

P.S. If something caught your eye, you can find all of these pieces on the website. ✨

Watching someone light up after trying on a piece for the first time will never get old.
