There is a specific time of year here in LA when we actually have purple rain. The Jacaranda trees fill with the most beautiful lavender blooms. And then drop them creating a purple carpet across parts of the city.

I'm lucky enough to have a Jacaranda in my front yard and this is how it looks before it REALLY gets going! (Swipe to see)

I had a weeping willow in our backyard growing up—the kind that made the whole yard feel like a secret garden 🌸

I’d hide under it, daydream, make (very important) mud-pies… or just take a break from our wild, full house.

"Willows" is a quiet little nod to that memory—soft greens, warm light, and just a hint of nostalgia (and maybe a mosquito or two 🐜😅).

Gold Bloom is a bit of a lovechild.

This one started during a quiet morning when I just needed to slow down and breathe. I wasn’t trying to make anything “big”—just needed a moment to paint without overthinking.
No drama, no grand statement. And of course, that’s when she turned out kind of perfect.
