Even in Southern California, it is time to change out your seasonal wardrobe. Also, a great opportunity to release some of those unfortunate early Covid internet purchases 🙃

Let’s talk about business cards...
I am in the process of revamping my home office. I thought I could avoid the business card collection, but no, I must face my demons.
Once upon a time, I collected, categorized, filed in special sheets or books. Once upon a time these cards were relevant. But honestly, after all that filing, I rarely looked at them. Contacts that were important and current went into my phone.
Seriously, there is no more point in keeping them, except as a clue to remind myself of a place I once liked, if it is still in business, or if it will survive our current circumstances 😔
Many people I know religiously converted to scanning business cards into their phones or other contacts. I never saw the point of using all this space and energy, if again, you may never refer to it again.
Now I have decided to keep cards for the following reasons: If they are part of a project that you are currently involved with - scan or enter into contacts and discard / If they are from the past and jog your memory about something / as a souvineer if a time enjoyed or a friend. I would also keep cards taken in at an event attended, bundled in a group, and then either enter into contents or discard after 6 months.
So much of what we need to know is online. Keep a restaurant card if you really enjoyed the experience and want to remind yourself of that, but you can always find the info by a quick search in your phone.

Tempting as it is to arrange thread in glorious color, fiber content is important and brand uniformity is a challenge. Question to seamstresses out there: how important is the fiber content of the thread?
