πΌ Your Mums Are Almost Ready! πΌ
With our mums going out in just a couple of weeks, we wanted to share a little information about how theyβve been cared for β and how you can keep them looking beautiful all fall long!
π§ These Mums Are Thirsty!
Our mums have been watered twice a day since June, so they are used to getting plenty of water.
π± Special Soil Blend
Our mums are grown in a special soil blend designed to drain and dry quickly. This helps us properly manage their water while theyβre growing, but it also means they may dry out faster once you take them home.
πΈ Tips for Keeping Your Mums Happy & Healthy
π¦ Check Them Every Day
Stick your finger into the soil to check for moisture. During warm, sunny or windy weather, mums in containers may need water every day β sometimes even more often.
πΏ Water the Soil, Not the Flowers
Water slowly and thoroughly at the base of the plant. Try to keep the blooms and foliage dry whenever possible.
βοΈ Give Them Plenty of Light
Mums love sunshine! A spot with at least 6 hours of sunlight will help keep them healthy and colorful.
π« Donβt Let Them Sit in Water
Good drainage is important. Make sure excess water can drain freely from the pot.
βοΈ Remove Old Blooms
As flowers fade, gently remove them. This helps your mum stay neat and beautiful.
π‘οΈ Cooler Weather = Longer-Lasting Blooms
Mums naturally love those cooler fall temperatures. Keeping them away from excessive heat can help the flowers last longer.
πΌ One of the biggest secrets to beautiful mums is WATER!
Donβt wait until your mum is completely wilted to water it. Once a mum gets severely dried out, it can be difficult for it to fully recover.
With a little care, your mums can provide gorgeous fall color for weeks! ππΌπ
