Violacea Plena or double florette Japanese wisteria. I kept reading that they take 7 to 15 years to flower after initial planting. Bought a seedling online eight years ago. This is my first bloom. Absolutely gorgeous coloring, and looks like it will be 2 feet long once in full flower. But eight years? Really??

I'm convinced that sometimes gardening can be a mental illness.
