Concrete Repair: Doing some work in the basement? Or relocating / adding plumbing to your concrete slab? A few photos of recent work filling in the concrete slab where additional plumbing lines were added.
Some plumbers will open up the slab for you (at a cost) - some plumbers won't. Same goes for filling it back in... It may be a more cost effective option to get your Handyman to do the grunt work for you. Reach out to us if you need help with this type of work (or any other handyman related work).

Tile Cleaning and Sealing. Make sure to seal your tiles! Especially if they are natural stone or cement based. Without a sealer, the pores in the tiles will suck up dirt and stain quickly. The above cement tiles weren't originally sealed at time of install. After 6 months or so they had discolored drastically. Cleaned as best possible and sealed. Looks a whole lot better now, but could have been prevented by sealing from the get go. (Tiles will need to be re-seal every so often depending on the amount of traffic they get).

A handful of pictures of ceiling drywall patching completed recently. The customer's plumber opened up the ceiling to inspect the water pipes. Fortunately no leaks were found - but this did leave 3 holes in the ceiling.
Holes were filled, patched and painted.

It's that time of year! Spring is here and the weather is warming up. It's only a matter of time before we will be spending the evenings and weekends out on the deck entertaining and enjoying the warmer weather.
But is your deck or patio looking a little tired? Perhaps all it needs is a good clean and reseal. Or if its been a few years since the last coat, maybe it needs a little more attention.

Need help disposing of garden debris?
If you have any fallen branches from the recent wind (sand/snow), and need someone to help dispose of it, give us a call.
We will cut up any large branches, clean up the little ones and load them up for disposal.
We can help out with cutting/removing of any partially broken branches still hanging in the tree too, if needed.

Now that the weather is warming up, it’s a great time to knock off all of those outdoor projects and tasks that have been hanging around through Winter.
One such project was demo and replace this side gate. The posts had rotted and were leaning to the side, making it almost impossible to open and close the gate.
Rotten posts were removed, the old pickets changed out and the newly built gate installed.
Easy access to the backyard now with single hand operation - no more struggling to lift the old gate and drag it open!

Recent cat flap/doggy door addition. In-wall door as opposed to the sliding door insert option. Benefit being that you regain full width use of the sliding door and you can lock your sliding door again using the standard locking method.
