Applications are now open for the 2026 Urban Growers Program through Kentucky State University Cooperative Extension!

This program supports Jefferson County residents who are growing food in backyards, community spaces, or small urban plots and who are interested in building their skills and exploring opportunities to share or sell what they grow locally. The program includes hands-on training, mentorship, and a supportive cohort experience throughout the summer.

If you grow food yourself or know someone in your network who might be a good fit, we invite you to apply or help spread the word!
