I am a Lifetime Member of the Association of Certified Handyman Professionals and also belong to the Handyman Association of America. I spent 8 1/2 years in the United States Air Force in the Civil Engineering Unit. I am always looking for new products, new trends and new practices in my industry. I belong to many contractor forums and have been a Super Service Award winner on Angie's List 3 years in a row.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been doing this kind of work since I was 13 years old with my best friend's father during summer vacations. He owns Don Greene Home Maintenance & Remodeling. We spent those summers building houses, doing roof jobs, remodels,...I loved it all. I love to work with my hands and outdoors. Then, Right out of high school I enlisted in the United States Air Force. I was stationed first at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Goldsboro, NC in the Civil Engineering Squadron then at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Base Colorado Springs, CO. I was involved in cleanup efforts in Florida 1 day after Hurricane Andrew came through Dade county, Florida and I did a tour of duty in Thumrait, Oman and Al Karj, Saudi Arabia during the first Gulf War...August 1990-March 1991.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
1. Always ask if your contractor is registered with the PA State Attorney's office...IT IS Mandatory now---my number is PA 10004. 2. Ask to see proof of current general liability insurance. 3. Check references. 4. Check out provider's website, referrals, testimonials. 5. Don't always go with the lowest bid....
