Ok, this may not look like much but for me it represents a special day! The last couple of years that I lived in Newfoundland, I built a company doing custom glass work, especially shower doors and railings. I really enjoyed this precise and highly technical trade but since living in the US, I haven't had the opportunity to source my own custom tempered glass until now!! Picking up my first order of glass for four shower enclosures! I'm excited to once again be able to offer high end custom tempered glass services, this time in the OKC metro area!

I was trying to add this video to my last post and because my social media skills are far inferior to my carpentry skills, I couldn't figure it out!🤷.
This is a time lapse showing the process of creating the 'hand-hewn' look on new wood. In the video I am taking a standard oak post and giving it the distress marks to make it look old and weathered. If anyone is interested in seeing more detail on taking new lumber and creating this hand-hewn look, let me know and I'll see about doing a more detailed how-to video when I do it again.

I promised some final reveal pics of this project a little while back, so here they are! This is just a small portion of the work that I am doing for this client, so expect to see a lot more over the coming weeks from this unique and very custom build. Here, we are featuring the false beam, railings and stairs that we installed. While it is a pile of work to create the hand-hewn effect on all these individual components, it was well worth the effort in the end. It creates such a welcoming, warm, and comfortable feeling in the space. I'm thankful for clients that had a vision and trusted me to make it happen!

I haven't posted much recently but it certainly hasn't been for lack of projects! This is a second story deck that we completely rebuilt. The old one was rotting and was extremely unsafe. Now, the deck is a little larger, built with composite decking and railing and all new framing for a solid, low maintenance deck that will last for many years to come.

I had a great opportunity to help a repeat customer gain some more storage space in her home. She also has a very sentiment antique furniture piece that we wanted to showcase. Loved how this turned out!

Also, I should point out that these cabinets are custom, solid wood cabinets, made by a close friend of mine who runs his own small business. We love supporting other small businesses!! If you are thinking about a kitchen or bathroom remodel, let us know! We love making dreams come true!

Finally checked one project off the honey-do list! My wife has patiently waited for this pantry to get done for over a year now. After originally planning a laundry area in this space, we decided we needed more pantry space inside a conditioned room. So we moved the washer and dryer to the back storage area and converted this room into basically a walk-through pantry/back entrance. Just need to put some paint on and a couple finishing touches!

If you have a honey-do list that seems to keep getting longer rather than shorter, shoot me a message and I'd be happy to tackle some projects for you!
