This bathroom is in a well-preserved and updated 1800s plantation home, and is built in a closet that was a previous addition where the original deck was. This means the floor was sloped (and very uneven) which presented a unique challenge to get it flat and level! We knocked down part of the brick wall to turn a window into a doorway to the adjacent bedroom. We built a shower, shelves, hidden utility space for a future tankless water heater, and did all the finishings. We touched every single surface in some way!
This bathroom build was for a family friend, which is why we agreed to do the full project for them start to finish. (We usually only do tile!) But this job gave us some good experience in things like framing, drywall, painting, trim, etc. things we don’t do every day in tiling, but helped us become better builders. (We left the electrical and plumbing to the professionals ofc!)

Some details of the Kitsmont Lot 39 custom home master bathroom we tiled for .
Love the natural Italian marble and limestone they chose for this bathroom! Not to mention the gorgeous layout.
The tile retailer only sold these tiles in 12x24, so we cut them down to create the herringbone rug pattern, as well as the limestone boarder and the entire upper half of the shower. Quality work takes time, and this definitely wasn’t a quick job! But the finished product was worth it. Grateful for the opportunity to create this functional work of art.

This was a fun mudroom and laundry room we got to do with reclaimed brick last month, down by Smith Mountain Lake. The layout was carefully planned around future cabinets, washer and dryer, and a laundry room sink. The client was thrilled with the overgrouted look and overall finished product, she said it looked “even better than the Pinterest inspiration!”
