Had a good one this week.

Customer reached out because her washer would only handle one towel at a time without going completely out of balance. She thought it might be done for.

Took a look and found the issue—worn suspension rods (pretty common on these). Got them replaced and it’s running like it should again.

Saved her from having to replace the whole machine 👍

Always good meeting solid people along the way.

Oh what a difference in 2x4s today. If you’ve ever renovated or done any work on an older structure you will notice how much harder the lumber is compared to what you can get now. There are two reasons. Obviously aging makes wood harder, more stubborn, just like humans😂 but also you can see by the amount of rings in the wood another story. The older lumber was cut from mature naturally grown trees whereas new lumber was most likely planted and harvested on a farm. So think twice about getting rid of the old lumber you may encounter. It it’s in decent shape a planer could bring it back to life and become way better than the stuff you pick up at the box stores. Not to mention you are recycling something straight from Mother Earth!
