This custom nursery painting was commissioned by a first-time mother who will welcome her daughter next month. She envisioned something soft, feminine, and filled with meaningful details inspired by Mississippi.

I incorporated a Southern magnolia, native wildflowers, wood ducks, a floppy-eared bunny, and several native birds—including a northern mockingbird, eastern bluebird, tufted titmouse, and indigo bunting. A soft pink background and delicate clouds brought her vision together beautifully🌤️🪽

Her response meant so much to me:
“I have no words! Thank you for bringing this idea to life. It is unbelievably gorgeous.”

Creating artwork that becomes part of a family’s story is such a gift. What meaningful details would you include in a custom nursery painting?🖼️

What I know for sure after building an art business while homeschooling four kids…

There is never a perfect time.

Not the perfect schedule.
Not the perfect workspace.
Not the perfect season of life.

Over the years, I’ve painted during nap times, after bedtime, between lessons, and sometimes with little helpers sitting right beside me.

What I’ve learned is that meaningful things are often built in the middle of ordinary days.

More than 100 custom paintings later, I’m grateful for every family, bride, mother, grandmother, and client who has trusted me with their memories.

If you’ve ever been waiting for the “right time” to start something, this is your reminder that progress is usually made one small step at a time.

✨ What dream are you working toward in this season of life?

A photo captures the moment, but a painting turns it into a keepsake. ✨

One of my favorite things to create at weddings is guest portraits — little works of art your guests can take home and treasure long after the celebration is over.

A unique favor, a special memory, and a beautiful reminder of such a meaningful day. 🤍

Throwback Thursday!

My dad found this painting in his attic this week.

I painted it in 2005 from one of my parents’ wedding photos from 1985, and let’s just say… I’ve learned a few things since then. 😅

But every artist starts somewhere.

This painting reminds me that before the live wedding paintings, custom commissions, workshops, and hundreds of client pieces, there was just a teenager with a paintbrush trying her best.

I’m thankful my parents encouraged my creativity long before anyone was paying me to paint.

Proof that sometimes the artwork worth keeping isn’t the most polished piece—it’s the one that reminds you where you started. 🤍🎨

Dream job? ✔️🎨

Getting to paint, encourage creativity, and watch people light up when they realize what they can create for themselves? I’d say that’s a pretty good gig. 🤍✨

My lawyer advised me to clarify that I’m a live wedding painter. 😂

Describe your job, but make it sound illegal. I’ll go first. 👇

Apparently spending my weekends sketching strangers, painting weddings, and turning memories into artwork sounds a little suspicious when you phrase it that way.

Good thing my accomplices are usually brides, grandmas, dog owners, and people who just want something beautiful to remember the day by. 🤍

Instead of scrolling, we painted. 🎨✨

A few hours spent creating, connecting, and trying something new. No pressure, no experience required—just good company and a little creativity.

One of my favorite things about watercolor workshops is watching people surprise themselves with what they can create. 🤍

Interested in hosting a workshop for your church group, ladies night, business, or special event? I’d love to paint with you!

✨ Have you ever wondered what a live wedding painter actually does?

Live wedding painting is so much more than creating artwork—it’s creating an experience.

As you celebrate with family and friends, your wedding day is transformed into a one-of-a-kind heirloom that captures the beauty, emotion, and atmosphere of your special day. Throughout the evening, guests can watch the painting come to life, making it an interactive and memorable part of the celebration.

Long after the flowers have faded and the music has ended, you’ll have a timeless piece of art that tells the story of your wedding day for generations to come. 🤍

🎨 Why couples love live wedding painting:
• Creates a unique guest experience
• Captures a meaningful moment in real time
• Becomes a cherished family heirloom
• Adds an elegant, artistic touch to your wedding day

There’s something incredibly personal about being invited into people’s memories. 🤍

After creating 100+ custom paintings for families, couples, and sentimental souls, I’ve learned that the moments people treasure most usually aren’t the perfectly posed ones. They’re the quiet glances, the messy joy, the people we never want to forget, and the tiny details that somehow become the most important with time.

Art has a way of turning fleeting moments into something lasting.

That’s why I paint. 🎨 If you’ve been thinking about turning a meaningful photo or memory into artwork, I would love to create something personal for you. My books are open for custom commissions, wedding paintings, guest sketches, and sentimental heirloom pieces. 🤍 Send me a message and let’s create something worth keeping.
