Big news for Sun Prairie homeowners — the city just officially passed an ADU ordinance, and it's a good one.

No owner-occupancy requirement. You can build up to 1,000 sq ft, attached or detached, and the city even allows up to three total dwellings on a single lot.

That puts Sun Prairie right up there with Madison as one of the most ADU-friendly cities in Dane County.
