More Sunflower Seed Kits have been dropped off at the Maricopa Library & Cultural Center tonight!

To be respectful of the counter space available for other resources, we leave a limited amount for the community, which we will keep restocked throughout the season.

These can be found in the printer room, just behind the front counter.

We will always have many more free seed kits at our garden, available each Saturday from 7am to 2pm, along with horticulture coloring pages, a seed-share library, and other free activities for local children to enjoy!

To aid in Garden Social's mission to impact our local community and make hands-on engagement with agriculture more accessible, we have put together a 5 initial funding programs that outline our main objectives:

1) Low Water Use FREE Tree Program

Detail: This fund will be utilized to acquire pots through sustainable sourcing (recycled sources, community donations, and purchasing as-needed), including the acquisition of the necessary soil, amendments, shade and other necessities to grow trees that will eventually be planted for free throughout the community.

2) The Garden Library

The fund will primarily run through a registry, but donors may also elect to donate physical books or a monetary value to be dedicated toward the program.

Garden Social Community Impact is a nonprofit organization rooted in the heart of the City
of Maricopa, Arizona.

Formed with a singular vision—to expand community access to hands-on agriculture and environmental education—the organization stands as a dynamic force for positive change, working in direct coordination with Garden Social AZ LLC, a
renowned nursery and garden center.

Through innovative partnerships, purposeful
programming, and a steadfast commitment to sustainability, Garden Social Community
Impact is transforming the ways in which residents of Maricopa engage with the land, their
neighbors, and the environment.

Our mission at Garden Social Community Impact is to cultivate a thriving, resilient, and
environmentally conscious community by increasing access to hands-on agricultural
experiences, fostering environmental stewardship, and empowering individuals of all ages
to grow, learn, and connect.

We believe that communities flourish when people are given the knowledge, tools, and opportunities to engage with agriculture—reconnecting them
with the land, their food, and each other.

Our organizational slogan, ‘Grown with passion,
rooted in community,’ is more than just words—it is the living, breathing ethos that drives
every project, partnership, and initiative we undertake.

At Garden Social Community Impact, we believe that the health of our community is inseparable from the health of our land.

In an era of rapid development—where native
landscapes are increasingly replaced by concrete and asphalt, and generational knowledge of gardening risks being lost—we are more committed than ever to reconnecting people with nature, food, and each other.

By championing hands-on agriculture, sustainability, education, and collaboration, we strive to ensure that Maricopa not only survives but thrives—today and for generations to come.

‘Grown with passion, rooted in community’ is not simply our slogan; it is the guiding principle behind every seed we plant, every garden we build, and every partnership we forge.

Together, we are cultivating a community where all are empowered to grow, learn, and flourish.
