We were so excited to be a part of the first annual Matthew’s spring bazaar a few weeks back.

We nestled in between two of our vendors from our market, which made the night even sweeter as we were in the company of friends. (That truly feel like family!)

There are so many amazing vendors that we got to visit and even purchase a few things from!
I love attending new markets and walking around, seeing all the amazing makers & bakers in our town and encouraging eachother as small business owners.

My Market haul was one of my favorites recently… I got a new plant to add to the ever growing indoor plant collection, a beautiful stain glass piece from
And of course a sweet treat from a anazing baker!

I also added another beautiful handpainted gourd by my sweet friend Yvonne.
I am always amazed by how talented she is!

Oh, and those redesigned flannels we launched last week we’re flying off the rack!!
I think we ended up selling six or seven of them!I am already on the hunt for new flannels and shirts to restock. You guys have been loving that new addition to our boutique rack!!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by!
You are a blessing to us!

Market is tomorrow and I have 4 amazing vendor event recaps to show you before tomorrow…because this girl cannot get behind on one more week 😆
(True life of juggling ALL the things)

So in the words of my husband, “buckle up buttercup” and join me for a recap of the wild & crazy of a small business Cottage baker of double Market weekends back to back…

First up as our Upland Community Market Farmers Market.

It was the second market of the summer season and it was a lovely day!
Warm but beauitful!
(Its summer after all! 😉 )

We debuted our “Boho Chic Redesigned” flannels on our Boutique racks and they were a HUGE hit!!

Our Focaccia Recipe was NEW & Improved!!
Channeling a traditional light & airy Italian recipe!
I am trying to bring a bit more of my heritage to our shop!

It was wonderful to see the community enjoy playing games together, hanging out and making memories at the Upland Park.

We loved seeing all our customers who wandered through our little “Vendor Village” tucked on the grass next to the ball court.

Thank you for supporting our business and the other vendors!

We would love to see your Market finds and the delicious food you took home with you for the weekend.

My Market haul was simple but sweet & full of Beauitful things!

Sweets from 2 Moms bakery, Chocolate covered Roses, and beautiful PINK Geraniums perfect for the Grandkid garden!

The Last few weeks, I said goodbye to some really special people in my life. ♥️

As they walked away from this season onto another.

Some will return next season when the school year starts again, others will be living completely across the country in a land where their hearts are yearning to go.

The Yoders have been sweet customers of mine. Their children were some of the first to try our Sunshine Jam for the first time when it debut a few years ago, and it instantly was their family favorite! As the girls gave me many hugs they said they will greatly miss their favorite “Jam lady” when they have breakfast in Africa every morning. I will miss them so much too!!

I have had the privilege to work alongside Austin and Abbie through at Taylor University. They came to our Homestead and blessed us with some work. It was such a joy to hear what God is doing in their life personally and I continue to pray throughout the rest of the year as they finished and waited on the Lord for direction of where to go next. It was a blessing to join in prayer over this new ministry they have a heart for.

Maddie was somebody that has a special place in my heart. It was a joy and honor to walk alongside her and last few years. I will miss our weekly catch ups having breakfast at my kitchen table, walking through my gardens or sharing tea at Patent Pending, but I know that I’m always here praying over her and the new season of life that she is beginning. God has a Beautiful plan for her and I have seen so many prayers answered in her life!

Do you wanna know what I love most about these pictures?

This reflects the heart of our business! Our business is built on Relationships and community! ALL of these sweet people were my customers at Market. And now they are more like family!

I pray that God gives them peace and wisdom as they all enter this new season of life and that they know that they were very special to me!! ♥️
(And I am always here to pray over them anytime!)

I LOVE this SO MUCH!!!

(My sweet Friend Franny speaks my ♥️)

Vending can be HARD!

But… I show up

Make Friends…

And hope for sales!

And sometimes those FRIENDS become FAMIlY… like this sweet lady here!!!!

Love you girl!!!!

If you don't make sales, make friends ✌🏻

Sometimes, vendor events are just brutal. It's one of the things that a lot of small businesses/vendors don't talk about.

And any entrepreneur can tell you that it's just the nature of the beast. You can put your heart and soul into getting ready for an event, driving three hours south, getting set up.. just to barely make booth fee back.

But something in me was thinking "well.. if you don't make sales, make friends."

I found another seasoning vendor (his seasonings have salt) and his combinations are super cool. I came home with a few of those 😂

Then as we were packing up and heading out, we got to talking with another vendor (imagine that) who makes juices. We traded seasonings for juices and they were 🔥. It was called Carrot Kiss and it was phenomenal. He actually might come up to Flavor & Savor Food Festival in September.

On the bright side, The G&G French Market in Fairmount is in 2 weeks & I will have plenty of your favorites 💝

Onto the next!
